“Corporate Storytelling”—The Process
In this hands-on course, you’ll start by reading and analyzing examples of great storytelling. (We’ll work with texts from organizations in different sectors—business, government, and NGOs.) With a checklist for great storytelling in hand, you’ll practice writing in an entirely new way: mapping the “plot” of your story before you begin writing, and planning the subtext you need to reach audiences. Throughout the course, you’ll receive expert feedback on your writing, as it develops. Together, we will create a model for what finished corporate stories for your organization look like.
What to Expect
The workshop is in English and is taught by a professional with more than twenty years of experience as a writer, editor, and trainer. The training is two full days. You will leave with an understanding of your strengths as a corporate storyteller; one prototypic piece of writing; and a training certificate.
Why this Course is Unique
Most writing courses teach theory. This course gives each participant the chance to rewrite relevant material, receive feedback on that writing, and reframe their understanding of what audiences want to read.
